My work is with words.

Writing them, speaking them, occasionally rapping them!

I am a poet, I write for myself, writing to heal, to understand, to make sense of the world.

And the more I write and share the more I realise I write for others too.

To show we're not alone.

To share the feelings and challenges that many of us share.

I write for creative expression and to remind others that it's OK to take up space.

It's safe to be seen.

To be brave and do what you love.

I also write for fun!

For celebration, to mark an occasion.

I write for birthdays and anniversaries, weddings and events.

I also write for campaigns and special situations, courses and opening ceremonies, speeches etc.

And occasionally I write about what's been left in a festival Portaloo!

Writing and sharing brings deeper connection between individuals, across communities and with ourselves.
