Sitting in a diner in upstate New York, the cold outside is relentless, but that doesn’t stop the steady stream of cars pulling up to Freddy’s for a hot meal. Among the evening crowd, savoring a hot sandwich and a cold drink, sits the CMF himself—Avalanche Jones. Fresh off an intense training session, he’s managed to squeeze in this interview with The Wrestling Report. With his upcoming Young Lion’s Championship match against TGN looming, Jones looks anything but concerned.
Avalanche Jones, you’ve got a big match ahead. You’re finally getting a shot at the Young Lion’s Championship, stepping into the ring with the reigning champion, TGN. Are you ready for that fight?
— Theo Gibson
"Avalanche Jones is always ready for the fight! Even after the injuries last year, that won’t stop the SNOW, baby!"
— Avalanche Jones
What’s your take on TGN? He’s the champ for a reason. Do you expect this to be a tough fight?
— Theo Gibson
"The kid’s got heart, no doubt. But he hasn’t faced the CMF. Come fight night, that belt’s coming home with me."
— Avalanche Jones
What makes you so sure? TGN is a battle-tested champion, and, with all due respect, your run in AAWA has been plagued with injuries. What sets you apart from a guy like him?
— Theo Gibson
Avalanche Jones leans back, locking eyes with me, and for a second, I swear he’s about to knock me flat in the middle of Freddy’s. Instead, he reaches for a toothpick, his voice steady, unwavering.
"I appreciate the concern, Theo. TGN’s got an impressive record, sure. But every injury, every setback—it’s made me sharper, stronger. I’ve studied his game, I’ve fine-tuned mine. When that bell rings, it’s going to be a cold day for TGN."
— Avalanche Jones
With that, Jones stands, grinning, radiating confidence as he strides out of the diner. For a moment, I sit there, impressed by his conviction. Then the waiter arrives with the check.
Avalanche Jones stiffed me with the tab.
He really is the CMF.
