About Aaron Bezant
I’m Aaron Bezant, a dedicated English Teacher and Head of Year, and I’ve been inspiring young minds for the past 10 years. Before transitioning into education, I proudly served 15 years in the Army, where I honed my leadership, resilience, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure environments. These experiences have shaped me into a compassionate, disciplined, and adaptable educator who thrives on fostering ambition and supporting student success.
My military background taught me the value of teamwork, strategic planning, and clear communication—skills I now bring into the classroom and my pastoral role. As Head of Year 8, I’ve spearheaded initiatives like the Attendance Streak program, reducing persistent absenteeism and boosting overall attendance, demonstrating my ability to lead impactful change. In the classroom, I’m passionate about making English accessible and engaging, helping students develop critical thinking and a love for literature. Last year, I completed the NPQSL (National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership), further equipping me with the tools to drive school-wide improvements and pursue my goal of becoming an assistant headteacher.
Outside of school, I’m an avid hiker, often exploring the New Forest, and I enjoy delving into genealogy to uncover fascinating family stories. I’m always eager to connect with educators, leaders, and professionals who share a passion for education and personal growth. Let’s inspire the next generation together!
