My name is Anita Darling and I’m a professional dumpster fire.

On May 24, 2024 I stopped drinking. I finally reached a point where I could not take the self-destruction and hatred anymore. I used to have hopes; I loved being creative. 

I got lost in addiction.

Now I am trying to figure out who I am and who I want to become. The best way, as I see, is just to jump face first into all the things I loved before. I enjoyed knitting & crochet, embroidery & sewing, drawing, writing, baking & cooking, trying to learn guitar and piano, music, movies & tv, and reading. 

I used to imagine a future where I was an actress, designer, musician or writer. Not rare dreams. But if I try (and fail, a lot) I might just find something I love. 

I’m sometimes awesome, but mostly awkward. Let’s see if I manage to put out this fire I started.
