Where Were You in the Fall of 2018?

Come this October 3rd, and all the way until November 13th, She reverses, in these same signs again. Might be a trifle moody, given that Venus is in her fall in Scorpio, because fixed water is not her happy place. Never fear, her friend with benefits, Mercury’s also in Scorpio, which offsets the heavies somewhat. Think of a retrograde as a developmental delay, which we tend to experience on Earth so that we may grow. Retrogrades are like zen koans, because we often need to go backwards to know how to go forwards. Keep in mind that Venus rules Libra with a spiritual flare, but yes while she’s in retrograde motion our inner feelings may light-up, old flames might resurface, a Kelvin wave may push the ocean higher, and we may want to break up with our romantic situations (but wait until she’s direct to make big decisions, because a direct Venus is a clear Venus.) One way to forecast this 40+ day stretch is to reflect on your world 8 years ago. See, a Venus cycle around the track of the ecliptic through each direct and retrograde period - lasts 8 years, and she makes this really sweet sky pattern in that span of time, looks like a rose, some say a star. As you reflect on your world in the fall of 2018, recall the qualities of feeling, the company you were keeping, experiences, achievements, challenges, allies and adversaries. You’ll invariably find a vein of gold, or at minimum experience a flash of insight. All the way on the opposite side of the ecliptic Chiron, who retrograded into Aires on September 17th may vibe us, given that he will oppose Venus on some of her journey back into Libra. There’s a possibility of a positive potentiality of this opposition in that they both have benevolent energy. But ooowee boy howdy, this relationship will surely intensify matters for some of us, and Chiron in Aires has some baggage, which I’ll expound on shortly. (P.S. This June 19th, Chiron dipped into Taurus, close to the Solstice point when Sun moved into Cancer, cardinal water. As noted she flew back into Aires 2 weeks ago. Chiron reenters Taurus on April 14, 2027.)
