Ukraine Trip #5 on the horizon

Ukraine Trip #5 on the horizon

Jul 17, 2026

I’ve had a great time this summer volunteering with my grandparents in Guatemala, watching my sister run her first marathon in OKC, hanging out with my pets, friends, and family in Fernandina, and pacing my Dad at the Hardrock 100 along side the rest of my family crewing and pacing. Tomorrow I head to California for my final summer side-quest, helping with the Galloway running camp at Lake Tahoe. I’m so excited to see such a beautiful part of the country for the first time before leaving The States for a while.

After four months in the America, it’s time to go back to the real world. I’m finally less than two weeks away from my next stint in Ukraine! It equally feels like leaving home and going back home. Either way- I have a one way ticket and hope to be in Ukraine until shortly before Christmas (if money and immigration permits)!

I’m incredibly grateful to finally have an online job coaching that will make this international volunteer lifestyle sustainable. As always, donations to help with airfare and travel expenses are greatly appreciated and anything past that will be passed directly to the organizations I volunteer with (mostly in the form of buying supplies).

I’ll try to be better about posting regular updates during my next stay.
