About Steven Harnell
I'm Steven, a working DIT with 20+ years on set and a member of ICG Local 600. DITools is the app suite I built because I got tired of duct-taping the same utilities together on every job.
It's a native macOS app, written in Swift, and it covers the stuff we actually do all day: frameline and camera comparison tools, Preston metadata conversion, ColorStamp watch folders, drive speed testing, and label printing for drive deliverables. No subscriptions, no bloat, no mystery spinners.
I'm building this independently, between shoots. Contributions go toward development time, camera and SDK access, test hardware, and the code signing and distribution costs that come with shipping real software to real crews.
If DITools saves you a headache on a call sheet that already has too many of them, chip in whatever feels right. Every contribution helps keep it moving, and it goes straight back into making the tools better for the people who use them.
Thanks for rolling with it.
