Keeping the Music Alive: Why the Drogheda Gig Guide Needs Your Support

If you’ve used this site to find out who’s playing in Mollies on a Friday night, check the lineup at the Punt, or see what’s happening down at the Admirals or Sarsfield's this weekend, then you already know what we’re about.

The Drogheda Gig Guide was built with one simple mission: to make sure you never miss a beat. From lively traditional sessions and intimate acoustic sets to full-throttle rock gigs, we want to keep the finger on the pulse of the incredible live music scene right here in Drogheda and our surrounding areas. We love updating this page with weekend lineups, festival news, and spotlights on our fantastic local talent and venues.

But there is something you might not know: this entire directory is a labor of love run by just one person.

A Independent, One-Person Passion Project

Unlike big entertainment sites, the Drogheda Gig Guide doesn’t have a team of developers, a marketing budget, or corporate backing. It doesn’t receive any arts grants, council funding, or government assistance.

It’s just me, typing away behind the scenes, tracking down gig posters, verifying times, and updating listings week after week so that you have a single, reliable place to plan your weekend.

An active community needs a thriving nightlife, and local musicians deserve packed rooms. This guide exists to connect the two. But keeping a massive directory like this accurate, live, and running smoothly takes a significant amount of personal time, effort, and website hosting costs.

How You Can Help (Buy Me a Coffee!)

If the guide has helped you find a great night out, discover a new favourite local band, or bring customers through your venue’s doors, please consider supporting the site.

We’ve set up a Buy Me a Coffee page where you can pitch in the price of a single cup. There are no forcing subscriptions or paywalls—just a simple, direct way for the community to help keep this independent resource online.

Every single coffee bought goes directly toward covering website fees and keeping the directory updated every single week.
