Hands on the Wheel | Beta 0.1.0

The project started as an experiment to make driving feel more immersive. After the development previews and improvements, I’m ready to share Beta 0.1.0 and hear how it works with your vehicles.

Download the ZIP attached to this post: handsonthewheelbeta0.1.0.zip

1. Close BeamNG.drive.

2. Place the ZIP directly in the mods folder inside your active BeamNG.drive user folder. Do not extract it.

3. Remove older HOTW ZIPs from the mods folder so only one version is active.

4. Start the game.

Open Pause > Mods > HOTW Settings and enable Editing mode. Start in Body to position the driver, then use Hands to adjust the position and angle of each hand. If you change Elbow bend, click Apply before Save.

Settings are saved per steering wheel. Vehicles using the same wheel share the setup. Some wheels include a default setup; others need manual adjustment.

Compatibility depends on the vehicle and steering wheel. VR and multiplayer still need further validation.

Motion blur can make the arms and hands look blurry while moving. Reduce or disable it in Options > Graphics if needed. HOTW shows a warning but does not change your graphics settings.

Please report problems in the BeamNG.drive forum thread. Include your game version, vehicle or mod name, steering wheel, camera, steps to reproduce the issue, and a screenshot or video when possible.
