Nippon Go has announced that it respects the decision of "genius girl" Nakamura Sumire (仲邑菫-14) 3rd dan to move to South Korea.
"It is natural to want to raise one's go skills to a higher level," the organization said in a statement signed by its chairman Satoru Kobayashi on Wednesday, 한국야동 adding that it actively supports Nakamura's challenge.
"Of course, there are those who will regret the departure of our next star knight, but this will be welcomed by fans in both Japan and Korea as an event that will make history in the world of go."
The Japanese organization also announced that it has forwarded its recommendation for Nakamura to the Korean organization.
The organization expects final approval from the KOGI between the end of this year and early next year, 성인웹툰 and Nakamura is expected to be in Japan until February of next year.

Nakamura recently submitted an official application for a guest article to the Korean Go Association.
If the application passes the Korean Professional Go Association's delegate meeting on the 13th of this month, it will go through the KOGA Steering Committee and Board of Directors.
Given that there have been very few cases in which a pro-knight submission has been rejected by the KKK Board of Directors, the delegate meeting on the 13th will effectively decide whether Nakamura will become a guest knight.
Nakamura, who is affectionately referred to as "Sumire" instead of his surname in both Japan and South Korea due to his youth and talent, first learned the game at the age of three and moved to South Korea in 2015 at the age of six, where he studied go for nearly four years.
While studying abroad in South Korea, Nakamura excelled in children's go tournaments, and in April 2019, Nippon Kiwanis invited him to join the team as a specially gifted player.
After joining the organization at the age of 10, Nakamura became the youngest professional knight in Nippon Kiwon's history, and in February of this year, she won the Women's Kisheng, setting a new record for the youngest ever title.
