Geuman means to stop in Korean. I made this app to help me stop doom scrolling. The app displays a colored overlay over your selected apps after a certain time. And with continued use, the color gets more saturated, making the selected apps less appealing. The app does not "lock" or "block" your social media. I didn't want to be prevented from using social media. I just wanted it to be less addicting.
How it works
1) Choose which apps to monitor
2) Press "start monitoring"
3) Default setting is a yellow overlay that will appear after 10 mins of cumulative use. You can change the color and the time when the overlay will appear under settings.
4) Geuman will also track your total usage everyday. You can track your usage over time under statistics.
*if needed, you can pause monitoring by pressing "stop monitoring"*
*you can resume monitoring by pressing "start monitoring"*
How to install (only for android)
1) You may need to temporarily disable "auto block" found under security and privacy to install
2) Install geuman.v1.apk with package installer
3) If a pop up warning shows up, press install without scanning
4) Once app is installed, select the apps you want to monitor
5) Allow requested permissions
6) Press "start monitoring" to start
7) You can change the default setting under settings
Geuman does not upload, sell, or share any data/information with third-parties. This is an independent project. I do not have time to collect and sell/share your information. All your information is stored internally. You can even delete stored data under settings.
