I always looking for a community where I can grove and teach something new. Taking part in a contest is always a possibility to find new people who may give great advice on how to do my game better. Today, I surfed on BGG and find this great contest. So, I decided to write this:
I'm Ukrainian and right now after 3 hard months of volunteering, I want to do something more creative. I decided to take a part in this contest and create a tactical solo game about the war in Ukraine. Somebody may say that this is too early. But this war started 8 years before and we don't know when it ends. But young people who defend their country die every day. So, I want to create the game, which will not be just a cool tactical game, but also an educational tool to show how war starts and all the main and biggest battles on this page of the history of our country. What do you think, is this will be interesting for you?
What is more interesting in a few minutes I get great responses and this gives me more inspiration to start working on this game.
The great people from the forum write:
...Definitely, bring it on, and welcome to the community!..
Absolutely interested! Wishing you the best.
If you weren't Ukrainian, I would be iffy on the subject matter, but I would be down to check it out for sure. Get back to your creativity!
So, I decided to start and today create my very first prototype for this game. But first some information about this contest. You may find more here.
This contest aims to encourage the creation of innovative single-player games with a variety of themes and mechanics. With this contest, we hope to sway all of you clever and attractive designers to create interesting new gaming experiences specifically for solo gamers.
