4 Ways to Uplift Your Mood Instantly

It takes a millisecond to change your mood.

Whether you had a bad day at work or a mishap at home, you can uplift your mood instantly. Don't believe me? I've been using four tried and tested methods to make myself happy.

1. Count your blessings

The easiest of them is to pick a pen and paper and start writing the things you're grateful for. It'll take a few seconds to think and write them down. But trust me, after doing it you'll feel relaxed and uplifted.

2. Change your posture

If you're sitting, stand and walk. If you're lying down, sit down. Whatever posture you're in, change it, and the chemicals in your brain will change and uplift your mood.

3. Give charity

Charity removes hurdles from life. When you feel down or upset, pick your favorite charity, or head out of your home, buy water and give it to a needy person across the road. You'll feel uplifted in an instant.

4. Breathe deeply

Close your eyes, inhale, count to three seconds, exhale, and count to three seconds. That's it. Repeat the process ten times.
