About Brandi Tanner, Ph.D., NCSP
I have observed the IEP table from just about every seat, including that of a school psychologist, private psychologist, advocate, special education teacher, general education teacher, and family member. I can see the perspective of just about anyone at an IEP meeting.
School staff, parents, and private clinicians may sometimes be at odds. Centering the focus on student needs can increase collaboration, leading to student success and outcomes, which is a win for everyone.
