In my last post I've mentioned my "theory" on how to making good filament tip for BAFS or any MMU in general, in this post I'm going to give some examples of how ramming settings affect the filament tip.
I'll be using Cherry Red SUNLU PLA+, of course my one and only printer Anet A8 v2 with BAFS with V6 hot end and 0.4 nozzle (clones) at 190 degree celcius and this settings:
I also will be using 2 simple cubes to trigger the ramming process:
The ramming setting is followed by its corresponding result:
No ramming at all:
1 second with 4mm cubic/s:
2 second with 4mm cubic/s:
3 second with 4mm cubic/s:
3 second with 4mm cubic/s at the beginning and high volumetric at the end:
5 second with 4mm cubic/s at the beginning and high volumetric speed in the middle and rest period at the end:
Bonus:
That's it for now, I will leave the conclusion to you. Until next time.
