When it comes to planning, you do not need to buy expensive or fanciful planners.
All you would need is a calendar with writing space to jot down appointments and important meeting, something you place at common areas like living room and kitchen. When I create the free printable calendars each year (which is available for free download at the Extras section), I always ensure I pick the designs that provides space to write down important reminders and dates.
For years, I've used thin inexpensive monthly layout planners that cost less than USD2. I would choose the ones that come with creative preprinted designs in pastels that inspire me to use it. I've done a Short video of my 2024 calendar and planner flip through:
