Another activity that I enjoy is writing stories and poetry. So as a result I am a member of multiple websites that allow you yo write and share as well as get to read other people's works.
Websites such as Wattpad, writing.com and vocal plus.
Normally I seem to struggle with writing short stories, yet that has been a new challenge for me where I am attempting to use writing prompts with a genre and giving myself a limit of how many words I can use. With this technique too it helps me to break stories into chapters, where each chapter can be seen as a short story if I so wish. Which has proven useful on some platforms where short chapters are the generalised trend.
I have multiple written pieces, mostly unfinished whether due to writers block, getting discouraged or having distractions that take my attention elsewhere and in turn I forget that they existed, often for months at a time.
It can take a bit of courage for me to share my writing, so I slowly share pieces here and there. In saying that, I have created my first book on Amazon, which is only one of my short stories. Quite different from my other pieces.
