Mark Twain once said comparison is the death of joy.
But there IS a way that comparing ourselves to others can serve us if we use it properly.
Comparison plays out in one of two ways - Competition OR curiosity.
For example, when your friend gets a high-paying promotion you can:
A) Be envious of her.
B) Use her success as motivation and inspiration toward your own self-improvement.
When others are more successful than you, you can either feel bad about yourself OR use it as an opportunity. You get to choose!
