Our dog Nacho

Our dog Nacho

Aug 04, 2023

He is a big boy. Adopted from the Wasco shelter in kern county calif. He was about 1 yr old and COVERED IN TICKS, I brought him home and got my essential oils of a citrus blend through young living and drizzled it across his back and the ticks couldn’t jump off fast enough. There were so many they were literally crawling up the wall. Luckily for my I had the raid ready. I continued to do this for over two days, I couldn’t let him suffer with over saturation with the oils. To this day after 6 yrs if he sees me with an oil bottle he runs. 😳😂. He is Akita/German shepherd mix and sings loudly to the moon and to the neighbors. Our son and his family is living with us and thier Cat Hoppa chases our cat Gidget and he will stop hoppa in his tracks. He was quite a anxious dog when we first brought him home, then we got him fixed and he was a teddy bear the vest had to place a muzzle on him because he growled at him so much it made him nervous. He is now a precious part of our family. He is the king of the yard. Our son also has a male dog but Nacho reins supreme. We named him major at first after my husbands brothers police dog who had passed, and he seemed to come to that and one day we were outside and I was calling out to him in different names that sounded the same like macho, and others I can’t remember now, and he actually came after I called him nacho and then we said okay he is Nacho from Wasco which is a Mexican part of kern county. We loved the humor of it.
