Today's instalment previews the first part of Town Preparation.
This is a challenging section of DD5 because it transposes the scarce coverage from across the 3LBBs---and the more substantive treatment in FFC--- into a more cohesive whole that doesn't really exist in the original organisation. Notionally, this distillation of relevant sources is what DD brings to the table, but I try to keep it modest.
If this instalment seems brief, it is only because it is so copiously footnoted. The following half-page snippet expands to two and a half pages in the annotated version. Yikes!
