Three years down the line and making a living out of a podcast is truly hard work! Granted, I don't do it for the money, I do it for connection to fellow travellers and providing content to my listeners. Saying that I still have to live and I am always looking at ways to monetize my podcast in line with how much effort I have put in in the last three years.
I am relentless in what I do. Spotify named me in the top 1% of creators in the Society and Culture section for the most output. I interview weekly and try to get as many episodes in as possible for the audience. So even though I am in the top 5% of podcasters in the world currently, it has come at a loss financially.
Now I am switching my mindset slightly. Don't get me wrong, the will to provide content will not change and I will consistently post an episode every Monday as per usual. But now, I am looking at ways to support myself but also to make this a full-time living in the future. I am excited about this journey ahead into 2024.
