Acerca de West of the Tunnel

Stories and news from Lane County's Oregon Coast

West of the Tunnel tells the stories of people in our community along Lane County's coast. My name is Will Yurman, and I am a long-time journalist who moved to Florence in 2022.

West of the Tunnel is a place for news and stories about our community and the people who live here. Dr. John Bachmann closes his animal hospital, Mapleton High School seniors talk about their hopes for the future, City Council elections and more.

Fact-based, informative, and compelling stories, photos and videos about where we live.

You can help support the project with a donation of any size.

One-time donations and sustaining memberships in any amount are greatly appreciated and will help me continue the project. Thank you!
