🎉 Happy New Year! I hope 2024 treated you well and that 2025 is already off to a positive and inspiring start.
As for me, I’ve wasted no time diving back into my love for photography. I ended 2024 on a high note with a foggy outing on the South Downs, capturing not a great deal in the fog with my trusty Mamiya RB67 medium format camera.
2025 began with a fantastic trip to Hastings, where I explored the charm of the coast and the beautiful fishing boats on the beaches using my Harman Titan and ONDU 4x5 pinhole cameras. I did attempted a New Year’s Day shoot there, but 60–70 mph winds and almost no light proved too much even for my adventurous spirit! Luckily, the following Saturday delivered perfect weather, setting the tone for a year of creative possibilities.
Of course, not everything went perfectly—there were a few mistakes along the way, and it seems I still haven’t learned some lessons from the past. But that’s part of the journey, right?
This year, I’m excited to embark on a new project—creating a series of videos that cover the entire process of pinhole photography from start to finish. My goal is to make it as simple and approachable as possible, sharing my workflow and exploring the many creative possibilities of lensless cameras. I’ve received so much positive feedback about this idea, and I’m thrilled to start working on it in the coming weeks. With any luck, the first videos should be out in the next few months—stay tuned!
And of course plenty of pinhole and other photographic adventures in-between.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement—it means the world to me. Here’s to another year of creativity, exploration, and (hopefully) a few less mistakes! 🌟
