Sorry about that, I’m back now and haven’t forgotten about this platform or you all listening. I really appreciate that. I’ve been busy lately, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been writing.

Schedule-

Before I left, I promised to post a monthly schedule of Unfathomed episodes. Now that’s changed, I will release the last two episodes

  • The Stall

  • Night Shift

By the end of the year.

That was my fault for being so busy. I honestly thought I could manage all of this, but life happens.

Updates-

  • Next, I will change the name of the podcast to host various stories like The Tape, which should provide more episodes than before. With better direction and with a schedule of the episodes every four months. This should have a better direction than what I originally tried to attempt.

  • Second, I want to add back my platform on YouTube to get more reach. At first, I didn’t know if I wanted to do more with the platform, but I should’ve listened to myself before and just kept it up, so it will be back up on YouTube soon, under my name.

  • Third, I want to create some type of merch; a way to still create income without begging or relying on donation or ads, so I’m working on t-shirts but the artwork will revolve around my stories not just the cover but the chapter, so look forward to that in the future.

  • Unfathomed will have a second season; I’ve really enjoyed coming up with an anthology series. At first, it didn’t really have a direction, but now I can see the future for it. The second season will be next to the tape, same as my previous story, but it will get a redesign and a new name. To be honest, I didn’t really like the name Unfathomed, anyway. Season 1 of Unfathomed will be on Tapas, for the readers out there.

  • Oh yeah, The Tape, let’s talk about that, a new series with a whole new direction. I worked on it around 2021 and put it down, then picked it back up earlier this year. At the end of this update, I will give a snippet of the rough draft, but that has taken over my time. I knew later on that Unfathomed was a side dish after Night Shift and was wondering where to go next. The tape was the one story that called out to me the most; it infected my mind for months. It’s still not finished, but it’s big enough for me to break off parts and get them out. Not only will I include it in a podcast, but I will also write it out for Tapia, an online platform for web novels and webcomics. Every month, I will post a new episode on Tapas.

Thanks for listening to my podcast, even though I come and go—I truly appreciate it. And stay tuned for future episodes.

Time-zone 2000

“Is… is she… dead?” a boy forces out. “No… no… she can’t be… it was just a movie, right?” The girl cries out.

My head pounded. Wasn’t I supposed to be in charge? It was always my place to be in charge of the group. Another streak of pain struck my head., she wasn’t supposed to die. Maybe… Maybe there was a way to save her. Just stop it… Stop… it…. I just had to stop the bleeding… Right, that’s how it worked. Shit, I’m only fourteenth, I don’t know… “Johnny!!” I cried. He had stiffened up. “Fuck… Johnny… Johnny!” he snapped out of his trance. “Yes, um, Sarah.” “Call your mom…. NOW”.

Johnny tripped over some of the blood and ran out the door. Alice lay gently on my lap and pressed harder on the wound. It didn’t matter. There was too much blood. Her throat was like a faucet. “She was stupid. Why do this to yourself for attention?” Shouted Christie, bundled in the corner. Her eyes were pure spite. “Christie… help me…. she is dying and I don’t know what to do,” I cried. “There is no point anyway”, she scoffed coldly. Really, now, of all times, she was angry. Christie’s eyes grew colder than usual. “Alice… Alice, come on… Stop it… stop playing.” Marcus’ voice trembled. He dropped to his knees… “I like you… see… I said it guys… I like you Alice… I finally told…. told you the secret…. you can’t… you can’t leave like this”. The boy’s face flooded with tears. So did the girl beside him, between Alice and Lucy. They were the youngest in the group. Both twelve in age, you could almost say they were. Lucy’s face was the most distorted. Her face was pure red with anguish and sorrow. “But… but Alice… you promised… you promised… nothing would happen. The little girl tearfully screamed. This was a mess. How long does it take for someone to bleed out? What was taking Johnny so long? Was I holding her neck right?

Thoughts were speeding through my head. They will make it in time, they will make it in time, they will make it in time.

As if the metaphorical clock had struck midnight, Alice’s weak, pale hand reached my cheek. Her hand felt warm. She was trying to wipe the tears away. Even now, Alice was trying to comfort us. Honestly, she felt like the oldest mentally of the group. Alice knew how to balance her childlike side. That’s why this made no sense. Alice’s lips started drifting. I moved in tighter, ear to her face closer, and in a soft whisper she said. “Don’t…. watch…. it”. With her final breath, her arm fell to the ground; her chest paused. The numbness in my chest was the last thing I could remember feeling.
