Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge is the story of a young boy who lives next door to a nursing home. When he finds out that his special friend, Nancy Alison Delacourt Cooper is losing her memory he sets out to find what a memory is.
Music Book Stories is proud to announce we have commissioned Perth composer Emma Jayakumar to create a new work based on the book by Mem Fox and Julie Vivas, with support from Moana Hall, City of Perth and Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries.
Emma will be collaborating with director Andries Weidemann, continuing on with their partnership from Beyond the Wall (2018) and Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie (2020).
The new work will be performed in Moana Hall, 1/618 Hay St Mall, Perth, twice daily from Tuesday 13 April 2021 to Friday 16 April 2021. Tickets are only $15 each for ages 4 and over, $50 for a family/group of 4, and free for children 3 years and under, only available online www.trybooking.com/BNYVT.
We'd love your support if you'd like to buy Emma a coffee! She is working very hard composing the music for singers, clarinet, cello, jazz double bass and piano.
