Today I want to talk briefly about the abuse my husband and I faced when we lived with his narcissistic mother and grandmother. Yes both women were malignant narcissists. Obviously before we moved in we didn’t know much about the disorder and even less on how to handle people with it.
In late 2018 we moved to Florida to be with his mother and grandparents. We had an agreement that we would help them out around the house in exchange for us to save money to buy our own home. We were excited at the idea! Wow. Lol to us. Within the first week of living there the games started. I was accused of stealing, we weren’t allowed to use the kitchen or laundry room. To do anything we had to ask and endure the mind games. Passive aggressive notes were stuck to mirrors and doors, accusing us of messing up everything. We were blamed for the electric bill even though we both worked and were hardly home.
His grandmother tortured me while his mother played with him. His mother tried breaking up our marriage, she tried to talk shit about me to him. His grandmother was the one who accused me of stealing her hair dye, for messing up the already filthy sink (they were disgusting people) we both lost so much weight living there because we couldn’t cook. Once we learned about narcissistic personality disorder it all made sense. We learned to gray rock them, which in turn made their insanity worse. We avoided the house until bedtime. We were scared his mother would poison our food.
