Overwhelmed by Your Support, #WBOPS Updates Secured for a Year!

Apr 25, 2025

Wow. Just... wow.

A week ago, I put out a call – a wishlist – hoping we could cover the steep costs of the Twitter/X API to keep the #WBOPS operational updates flowing into the Peak Live app and whistlerpeak.com.

And you absolutely crushed it.

This incredible community came together in less than a week and fully funded the $3900 goal. This means we have secured a full year of access to the API, ensuring those vital #WBOPS updates continue seamlessly for the next 12 months!

I'm honestly overwhelmed and incredibly grateful for your generosity. Many of you were already supporters, and stepping up again like this is just amazing.

Your contributions directly benefit everyone who relies on the app and site for timely mountain information. This is a testament to the strength and spirit of our Whistler community.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making this possible and for keeping this tool alive and running strong. You are the best!

Cheers,
Brad Meraly

One More Thing... Introducing Whistler Peak Cams!

As a small bonus and a way to explore new ideas, I've recently created a brand new, separate app called Whistler Peak Cams. This app has a specific focus: giving you the best experience for viewing mountain webcams and temperatures.

It features a fresh, clean design and includes highly requested features like customizable webcam widgets you can add right to your iPhone's home screen! Developing this separate app lets me experiment with different interfaces and potential new features (some of which might eventually make their way into Peak Live) without impacting the main app you rely on.

If you have an iPhone, you can download Whistler Peak Cams today – it's completely free, and of course, contains no ads, sticking to the community-focused approach. I'll be adding more features to it over the next few months. Check it out on the App Store!

Please know that an Android version is absolutely still on the roadmap! My current development focus is on finalizing some other key features first, and the Android build is planned to follow that work. Thank you so much for your patience – I truly appreciate you.
