If you’ve ever tried to learn Portuguese while living in Portugal, this song might sound a little too familiar. 😝
You mix up the tenses. You forget the word halfway through a sentence. You invent a grammatical gender. You try again. And somehow, someone smiles at you and says:
“Continua, continua… tu falas bem!”
We wrote Tu Falas Bem at What If Creative Lab for everyone navigating the funny, frustrating and sometimes beautiful experience of finding their voice in Portuguese.

And the song actually comes from the spirit of our Creative Intensive Portuguese Camp: a space where the goal isn’t to speak perfectly, but to create more reasons to speak.
We play, discuss, observe, listen, ask questions, express opinions, explore Portuguese culture, make mistakes and try again. Every activity is designed to put Portuguese into a different context and help you use the language you already have.
