Wellness Check 6/29

Jun 29, 2021

So a lot of you are writers. Some of you are archatects, some gardners. Or pansters vs planners. Yeah we all seem to share something in common:

Bad time management.

We're all guilty of it at some point. Wre spend too much time on social media, we have kids, jobs, chores, hobbies and never enough time to do it. What I propose is simple: try outlining your day.

Now some of you will have different things but create an outline or scheduled day.

Example:

6am wake up/ exercise

6:30am shower

6:45am breakfast

7am writing

8am work

10am break

2pm break

4pm off work/family time

5pm make dinner

530pm eat

6pm clean kitchen

630pm family activity

730pm chores

830pm working on a future goal

930pm bedtime routine

10pm sleep

Is it as much time to do the things you want? No. Does it give you time do a bit of everything? Yes.

Now this is an outline. It can shift and adjust as needes. Say dinner takes a bit longer. That's okay. But try and work out a functional schedule for you and set up alarms. Stick to it. Going to bed and waking up at a consistent time will help with better sleep.

I am bad at this myself but I have given them goes and honestly when I can stick to it for a few weeks I can feel the difference physically and mentally as I see progress in the aspects of life thst might be important to me. If I can't write for awhile than fine, I'll use that morning hour for something else. As long as it's helping me accomplish goals.

Now you might notice my schedule didn't include social media time. My suggestion is work on planning out more aspects of each day work in scheduled social media times and know when your block out times are and stick to those boundaries. I'm planning on doing this for me and I want to work in time to work in my meditation plans and ise it to regulate snacking and food.

Remmeber when doing something like this if you cheat or quit the only person who your cheating is yourself. The way you win this gsme is by playing by the rules every day.
