Speak Thai in 15 days Chapter 13

Speak Thai in 15 days Chapter 13

Aug 17, 2021

Hi, everyone. And welcome to We Learn Thai E-learning.

So today we are going to work on chapter 13.

Chapter 13 is based on parts of the body.

So you will be going through this lesson, you will be learning a lot of different parts in your body. But the main thing about this lesson is learning about the 4 word here. The first word is the word "ปวด" (bpuat) so the word ปวด which means to have a pain or to be in pain. But it means to have pain as in something that you can’t see as in  bruise or internal pain.

There’s also the word "เจ็บ" (jep) which mean hurt or injured it’s more as a surface cut or something that you can see but we are not as strict on using them interchangeably.

There’re also the word "หัก" (hak) that means broken. Usually when we use the word หัก it means to break something in 2 pieces or break it in haft. But we also have the word "เสีย" (sia) which means breaking, broken, or damned. This also means that something can do bad. This also means that something can go bad or it’s just gone bad it’s not working properly anymore.

So these are the main differences.  So throughout this hold lesson at the end of it, you will be able to ask people what happened? Or have they ever  broken their bone or you can tell people if you were in pain or not very in pain. So after this lesson I hope you have good luck.
