Hi, I’m Sophie, a local mum based near Saffron Walden.

I started Walden Weekly after realising how hard it can be to find simple, up to date information about baby and toddler groups, local activities and things to do with little ones nearby.

So much of it lives in Facebook posts, WhatsApp chats, old flyers or random corners of the internet, which is not ideal when you are trying to get out of the house with a small child and half a bag of snacks.

Walden Weekly is my attempt to pull it all together in one easy place.

I share baby and toddler groups, stay and plays, local events, rainy day ideas, family friendly places and anything else that feels useful for parents and carers around Saffron Walden and the surrounding villages.

I try to include the practical bits I always want to know myself, like parking, booking, age suitability, term time details, buggy access and whether something feels easy to turn up to on your own.
