Join our mission to rescue cultural heritage from the war-torn zones of Ukraine. More than two years ago, Vira DG managed to evacuate her parents' house near Kharkiv just three hours before Russian tanks arrived. A large number of artists' masterpieces were left behind, many of which had been exhibited at numerous international exhibitions.
Over the past two years, Vira's beloved artworks have been under constant threat as the war encroached upon her parents' home, situated just 30 kilometers from the Russian border. Amidst the turmoil and chaos of conflict, her creations bravely stood on the front lines, bearing witness to the harsh realities of war.
The house suffered greatly as the front line passed through, and later it became part of the gray zone. However, miraculously, the paintings managed to survive unharmed.
As the conflict persists and the shelling of Kharkiv has recently intensified, we are committed to working tirelessly to salvage these invaluable pieces and relocate them to a secure location. These artworks transcend mere brushstrokes on canvas; they serve as profound testaments to our shared humanity, reflections of our collective experiences, and beacons of hope amidst adversity.
