Personally the unexpected and pleasant surprises were the significantly improved Gate 3 noise gate and the shaving of 1ms off the end-to-end latency. This takes it back to where it was three years ago (going by Leo Gibson's measurements) - at some point a firmware update had pushed it up, maybe the NAM support - and is similar to the Kemper Stage, so doing well for a budget modeller.
