Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
You maybe wondering what is happening with my Forgotten Little Creatures project, well I can tell you although things have slowed somewhat due to the pandemic and a shoulder injury I am still working away behind the scenes.
I have been busy researching and writing the text for some of the species I will be including in the next book which will cover the UK and making lists of what need to be photographed and written about and I have also started working on ideas for species in Europe and further afield and I hope that eventually the project will have it's very own website where I can share images, stories and text about individual species.
Going forward I will be including more folklore, legends and where appropriate medicinal properties of different species. Not only that, I will be including some of my own pencil drawings in the future books, this is something I wanted to include in the first book but just didn't have the time to complete the work needed. I am now working away on these pencil drawings and I do have prints available to purchase with all profits going into further funding the project.
These are just three of the drawings I have completed so far, a European tree frog, nigella and a young Montpellier snake. All my drawings are created from my own photographs from the project, so the idea is to not only include photographs but also these pencil drawings. I am also working on plans of different things to share here, maybe some little snippets of the first book and and sneaky peeks into some of the species that will be in book 2......
