Kicking off Spooktober 2021 in Yoshiyaki Kawajiri’s Directorial debut film: WICKED CITY
I really like the work of Yoshiyaki Kawajiri but unfortunately Wicked City, his debut feature, is less than stellar. It kinda breaks my heart to say that but it is true.
I remember a few years ago when Hannah was putting together “79 Spooky, Scary, Creepy Films for SPOOKTOBER” that she outright rejected WICKED CITY after coming across still shots from the film. And after watching this review, she said she’s definitely never watching it.
Can’t say I blame her.
