Ladies and Gents: Song of the Sea
Part II in the Cartoon Saloon-athon is here and today we talk about my introduction to the wonderful Irish animation studio and one of the greatest films I have personally ever seen: Song of the Sea. The above video is over a minute longer than the video we posted on our YouTube channel. I don't know why YT detested that extra minute in this review but I’m not complaining. That’s exactly why Hannah and I have our website and Vimeo channel, so we can have this sort of flexibility.
When putting together this Irish Folklore Trilogy review series, Daniel really wanted to take his time and really get involved in not just the beauty of the story and animation but of the origins of the story itself. Irish Folklore is whimsical, terrifying and beautiful and Cartoon Saloon has done a phenomenal job of capturing that beauty for the big screen.
