Vitalii Merinov, four-time world champion in kickboxing, champion of Ukraine, died defending Ukraine.

Vitalii went to war on the first day of the full-scale invasion.

He had a shrapnel wound, then returned to the frontlines after getting better but died in hospital after new injuries. Our Defender has a two year old daughter.
