Thank you for landing in here. This is Ratna and the name of my platform is Empire Diaries. We have a website and a YouTube channel.
I know you are not information hungry. But as a journalist serving media for more than 15 years I decided to leave the comfort of a secured job and took this plunge of creating my own platform.
Why?
I saw there is mainstream media where I worked for so many years. Being an insider I know and experienced that mainstream media serves agenda of either the govt or the corporations/advertisers. Because they rely on govt ads or commercials.
And then there are few so called ‘independent’ media. They say they are relying on public money. You can investigate on your own.
Independent media like mainstream media do not bring out the information that is important for people. But they claim just the opposite. The so called independent media too choose to join the tide.
"It is not enough for journalists to see themselves as mere messengers without understanding the hidden agendas of the message and the myths that surround it.” Says John Pilger the legendery journalist.
I do follow his path.
Having worked in the mainstream media for close to 15 years, I know the pulse of the media. They feed you news which serve their purpose, means their funders purpose.
I decided not to be anybody's pay role.
My platform's survival will solely depend on you, because I chose to be accountable to you only.
When mainstream media or so called independent media say they serve you I know what it means.I have no funders, neither any govt nor any corporation. I invested my life's earning to begin this platform Empire Diaries.

In this platform I throw light on current events and bring out the most relevant and rooted perspective on the same event that is less discussed or not at all discussed and bring out the hidden agenda of the same. I will be able to bring out more ground reports and make it big.
I also bring out unreported, underreported facts and information which must be in the HEADLINES but they do not.
News is not always what you are fed through headlines.
I know, it is a huge challenge. I have just started with my life’s earnings. I need your support to continue this journey.
Initially I have set my goal of raising $2000. It is not enough. My hands are tight. I need a minimum of $3500 to $4000 monthly to run the platform the way I see it. Trust me I won’t be rich with that money. 😊 Because I am not doing information business, I am doing information activism, so I am always at minus, putting up my own resources. Here I need YOU to join me in this effort of documenting current events. Because that's what will be included in history.
