I sit and watch
from my
isolated cocoon
At a world
and its idiocy
that is strewn
The hullabaloo
preached to the
many by the few
Those who say how
much they care
but the results
for the poor
are infrequent and rare
The lawmakers still
design rules to benefit
the few while the
many go hungry,
cold and die
For the sake of
twenty pound a week
which the government says
Is an amount too high
As they hand out
relief to those whom
cheat and steal
All in the name
Of profit and loss
While the truth
they do covertly conceal
In life there will
never be equality
and integrity
while our lawmakers
show no empathy
Just lies and deceit
In the hullabaloo
they openly bleat
