We hiked at the Moreleta Kloof Nature Reserve and decided we would end our hike at the Rademyers Restaurant. The restaurant is inside the Nature Reserve which is very convenient.
The restaurant looks like an old farmhouse with seating on the inside and outside. We decided to sit on the porch which gave us a nice view of the surrounding area.
My brother went for the Crumped Mushroom starter and I thought the Brunch Breakfast would go down well. My brother was happy with his choice and commented that the portion did not disappoint. I was happy with the breakfast and it turned out to be more than enough. I had to take some home which my two dogs welcomed gratefully.
They refer to themselves as a farm-style restaurant and have a menu to match with breakfast, starters, light meals for those not so hungry, burgers, pizza, pasta, poultry, aged meat, grilled meat, from the ocean, specialty dishes, sauces, deserts, kiddies menu and drinks to offer. Our waiter was friendly, helpful, and on the ball. I can for the life of me not remember his name while writing this post. This is why you should write things down as and when they occur. In my defense, my brother did tip him well.
On our way out we had a look at their curio shop and as we made our way through the house restaurant to exit you could hear your footsteps on the wooden floors which made me think back to the days when we visited my grandparents on the farm. There was no way you could sneak around that house. They hear you coming from the very first step.
My overall experience of the Rademeyer Restaurant was a positive one. They are well priced, the food was good, the venue is nice and the people treated us well. It was a nice way to finish our hike. The only recommendation I would make is that they add some fridge magnets to the curio shop branding their restaurant. I would have bought one.

Restaurant hours are 10:00 - 17:00 Wednesday to Friday and Saturday and Sundays from 8:00 - 17:00. You can expect to spend anything from R50 to R300 on a meal depending on your hunger and what you eat.
