We finished our hike at Cradle Moon and decided we were going to have lunch at the Barbados Bar and Grill Restaurant in Hartbeespoort. It’s a good way to finish off a Hike. We tend to be hungry and thirsty after a hike.
The Restaurant
They have this Island without the sand theme going. Barbados is part of the Caribbean Sea and the restaurant reflects this vibe. It's a place where cocktails flow freely.
They offer a breakfast that has gained popularity among the motorcycle community. I observed many bikers stopping by during their breakfast run. The biker's breakfast includes a bacon, egg, and cheeseburger served with chips, complemented by a Castle Light beer and a Sherry to wash it down. It adds a nice touch to the experience.
For lunch and dinner, you have the option to indulge in spicy chicken, spare ribs, and the highly favored Eisbein, a meaty delight on the menu. Additionally, they feature a variety of seafood options such as calamari, along with a diverse selection of burgers. The Barbados burger is a particular favorite among patrons. Don't miss out on other delectable dishes like bunny chow and the enticing beef curry, which has an especially appealing appearance and aroma.
Overall, it's an excellent spot to conclude a hiking adventure and enjoy some delicious food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

What are the prices like? While the prices may be a bit steep, the quality of the food and drinks makes it well worth the expense.
What is the best time to visit the Barbados Bar and Grill? The busiest times would be afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Is Barbados Bar and Grill good for families? They do have a kid’s play area. During the day I think it’s kid-friendly. Late in the day and evenings, not so much.
Is Barbados Bar and Grill good for special occasions? That depends on what you see as a special occasion. If you are thinking along the lines of a romantic dinner for 2. I don’t think so.
