This week's lesson from the oracle deck is the "Dance" card. Showing the beautiful and talented ballerina practicing in front of the mirror. She is so focused on the one step she hasn't mastered, she can't celebrate or acknowledge everything she has accomplished. The need to be perfect has consumed her and stolen the joy she once found in her art.
How often do we all so the same? Put off going after a goal or a dream until we are perfect or everything around us is perfect. The truth is perfection is a lie, an illusion that can never truly be achieved. We to often compare ourselves to others and judge ourselves way to harshly. Or, we let criticism convince us we are not good enough. I have done this many times and regret it now. The curse of little mis perfect steals our dreams by convincing us to wait to go after what we want. The only way to break the curse is understand you can start now and learn as you go. You will get better and you can become an expert, but perfection is not needed. Know that you are good enough to get started, and once you start the rest will come!
