The Turning Sky
One morning I woke up wondering if anyone had ever played the night sky like a record. So I made it happen.
On theturningsky.com, the sky turns around the pole star like a record on a turntable, and every real star plays a note as it passes under the needle. You can hear both the northern sky around Polaris and the southern sky around Sigma Octantis, on bells, guitar, harp, bagpipes and more.
It’s free to play, with no ads and no sign-up. If it brought you a moment of wonder, a coffee helps keep the sky turning: it covers the hosting and domain, and gives me time to keep discovering and creating.
Thank you for listening.
