We have a New Moon in Virgo coming on September 6th, 2021. So let's do an energy update.
I am very excited for this New Moon cycle because I feel it will be an opportune time for us to prioritize ourselves and our emotional needs. This will be especially true for the tropical mutable placements. (Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo)
So what does this mean for the Collective? It means to put yourself in check. 'The Hermit' energy is very potent during this time as we are still in the thick of Virgo Season. The Hermit is one of the most spiritual cards in the Tarot deck. This is a time for intentional isolation, so we may find ourselves wanting to spend time away from the mundane and to disconnect from our day to day routine. This is a time to address if we are really taking care of ourselves. Are we truly honoring our boundaries like we are supposed to? This New Moon energy directly opposes the idea of overextending ourselves. Like I said, The Hermit is a very transcending card so this energy coming in is going to illuminate self sufficiency, accountability, and inner reliance. It is not about what YOU can do for others but what YOU can do for yourself. More importantly, this New Moon is happening on Moon Day Monday, so this is a great time to really decompress and evaluate your inner world. I will say that doing Collective/Personal Readings the common theme is personal growth and relationships that nourish you. (10 of Cups)
If you do not take care of yourself, how can you care for others? If you do not understand your needs, how will you know what you need from others? Having a strong sense of self worth affects everything around you. When we think highly of ourselves we learn to trust in our inner wisdom and insight.
Here are some themes that might appear under the New Moon:
Vivid dreaming and the subconscious mind. (The Moon/Moon Day Monday) Our mind is a very layered and complex thing. Sometimes our subconscious can affect our conscious decision making. With that being said, address your internalized beliefs that you feel about you, your life, and how you condone yourself. Another part of this is unnecessary petty drama or misconceptions in your life due to outdated beliefs. Anything or anyone that is mistrusting, inconsistent, or confusing will be highlighted as well. This is not for you to sulk, this is for you to really devise a plan for the next few months. Think of it as the Universe is giving you quiet time. Use it wisely.
Connecting with the inner child. (6 of Cups) Oh I know we hear this one a lot, but who better to tend to during this time? This is about tending to our innermost vulnerabilities. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some emotionally charged situations or people reemerging for one last final confrontation. Before we can change we must accept things as they are and move forward. How did our home life affect who we are today? More importantly, are those lessons still congruent to our life's path and personal growth? Reparenting yourself and checking on your emotional needs is important during this time.
Honing old skills and acquiring new ones. (8 of Pentacles) Now that we have spent the necessary time to figure out what we do and don't need, we find ourselves in the energy of application. Like I stated in a previous post, The Hermit does not go into isolation to sulk, but for self betterment. This is about precision, accuracy, completion, action, and focus. To me, I see this as an opportune time to really dive deep into your emotions, understand them, and find ways to move forward. If you have been feeling stagnant this is going to be a very developing time period where you get to make real progress.
What to do under a New Moon:
Cleansing, banishing, removing
Starting something new
Adding a new habit to your routine
Breaking bad habits
Making promises, wishes, vows, and proclamations
