Chinatown is one of the oldest areas in the whole of Bangkok and is well known for its Gold shops, street food and neon lights. At present, its historical significance remains much the same. It's still one of the most bustling districts and you can find just about anything here. The best way to explore is on foot.
In this episode, we visit Sampheng open-air market, Bangkok's biggest, cheapest and most popular places to shop. Just mind the pedestrian traffic, food carts, worn out vespas and loud speaker wielding vendors.
We also visit One Ang Walking Street. A walking street featuring various street art styles, showcasing the mixed character of this suburb, an area that's home to Thai's of different ethnic backgrounds, including Chinese and Indian.
This vlog features the work of Bangkok artist Alex face, inspired by his own daughter Mardi and the becoming world in which she'll live. You will also see a glimpse of the Thai Vegetarian Festival that happens annually in September/October for 10 days.
