How to maximise Woolworths Everyday Rewards points and transfer to Qantas Points

Apr 16, 2024

In the last 12 months I've earnt over 400,000 points through Woolworths Rewards, that's 200,000 Qantas Points!

Currently banking for Christmas, with no intention to spend it, see further below for why.

Let me share all my tips and tricks to maximise your point earning with Woolworths Everyday Rewards Program.

Tip # 1

Download the Woolworth Reward App and be sure to boost all the offers that appeal to you, don't boost everything. Choosing not to boost the ones you won't use, will help the algorithm target you with offers you will use.

Tip # 2

Have multiple Woolworths Rewards Accounts for your family! I have one for me, one for my Husband and one for my eldest son, who is 6. Children can have an account with guardian approval. I use mine mostly and then use the other two when the algorithm kicks in an awesome deal to entice me 'back' to Woolworths. My husbands and sons Woolworths Rewards account are linked to their Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts, but with family transfer, you can transfer points to each other when you're ready to use your Qantas points.

Check out this great booster I received on my husband's account.

Tip # 3

Have you already achieved Points Club or Points Club Plus? Don't keep your Woolworths Rewards on automatic transfer to Qantas, change them to 'Bank for Christmas', then when you start your new Qantas membership year, you can switch back to automatic transfer and get a head start on achieving Points Club in your new year. You Woolworths Reward Points will be transferred to Qantas Points in one lump sum.

Tip # 4

Everyday Extra

For $7/month or $70 for a year, with a 30 day free trial to begin with. With two accounts, you can use the free trial on both accounts.

Personally, I get most of value with the 10% discount at Woolworths, planning my biggest shop when I have the best boosters and using my 10% off then.

Tip # 5

Purchase Woolworth Car Insurance. I found the premiums competitive and the 10% off a shop at Woolworths every month helps out with the grocery bills.

Current Woolworths Car Insurance Offer-

Use the code CAR24K to get an additional 24,000 Points across the year.

Tip #6

Purchase Woolworths Home and Contents insurance. Although for me the premium wasn't competitive for me, so it is always best to compare.

Use code HR24K to get an additional 24,000 points across the year.

Tip # 6

Purchase giftcards with 20 X bonus points. These change weekly, running from Wednesday-Tuesday. The current offer can be found in the Woolworths catalogue, or a great website to refer to is freepoints.com.au for current offers. Incorporate it into your Christmas shopping.

Personally, I've purchased gift cards and used them for the following-

  • New phone and watch from JB HiFi

  • Loading my sons Timezone card

  • Airbnb

  • Netflix

  • Binge

  • Cotton On

  • Uber and uber eats

  • Luxury Escapes

Tip # 7

Fuel up at Ampol and scan your Woolworths Rewards card. Be sure to check the Woolworths Rewards app for boosters.
