Velocity Frequent Flyers can now fast-track their points balance thanks to a brand-new partnership between QBE Insurance and Velocity. Selected insurance policies will earn you tens of thousands of Velocity Points just for signing up and keeping your policy active for at least 90 days.

How the points work
When you take out a new policy and keep it active for 90 days (with at least one premium payment made), you’ll receive:
30,000 Velocity Points for comprehensive car insurance
15,000 Velocity Points for third party car insurance
30,000 Velocity Points for home insurance
30,000 Velocity Points for contents insurance
30,000 Velocity Points for landlord insurance
15,000 Velocity Points for small business insurance (Business Flyer members only)
Points on Renewing your Policy
If you stay with QBE and renew your policy after 12 months, you’ll also receive a renewal bonus:
10,000 Points for comprehensive car insurance
5,000 Points for third party car insurance
10,000 Points for home insurance
10,000 Points for contents insurance
10,000 Points for landlord insurance
5,000 Points for small business insurance (ABN required)

How quickly the points post
Once your policy has been active for 90 days, the points will hit your account within 95 days of the policy start date. The same timeline applies to renewal bonuses.
Who receives the points
Car, home and landlord policies credit points to your personal Velocity account.
Small business insurance credits points to your Virgin Australia Business Flyer account, and you’ll need an ABN to be eligible.
A strong points haul
If you take out both a new QBE comprehensive car insurance policy and a new QBE home insurance policy online, you could be rewarded with:
60,000 points after 90 days
20,000 points after renewal
That’s a massive 80,000 Velocity Points simply for having your insurance in place.
Make sure it’s right for you
This offer is ideal if you’re already reviewing your insurance and want to maximise your Velocity balance at the same time.
However, make sure you:
Compare pricing and coverage with other insurers
Read the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Target Market Determination (TMD)
Assess whether the policy is suitable for your needs
Points should be an added bonus — not the only deciding factor.
