About The Mixtape Podcast
Hi, I'm Mark, the creator and host of The Mixtape.
What started as a simple idea—asking musicians to build their ultimate six-song mixtape—has grown into a passion project that's introduced thousands of people to incredible artists and the stories behind the music.
Every interview, acoustic session, radio show, podcast and video is researched, recorded, edited and produced by me, usually outside of my full-time job. I'm also a dad, so most of this gets made during evenings, weekends and any spare hour I can find.
I don't do this because it's profitable—I do it because I genuinely love music and believe artists deserve a platform where the conversation goes beyond the usual promotional interview.
There are real costs involved in keeping The Mixtape going: cameras, microphones, hosting, software, travel, website fees and countless hours spent editing and producing each episode. If you've discovered a new favourite artist, enjoyed an interview, or simply appreciate what I'm trying to build, buying me a coffee is a simple way to help keep the project alive.
There's never any obligation—watching, listening, subscribing and sharing the show already means a huge amount.
But if you'd like to chip in, thank you. Every coffee genuinely helps fund the next conversation.
Cheers,
Mark
