When it was time for me to wrap the show at the end of this season, it was a bittersweet feeling. While I knew in advance that this was necessary because of my family structure it was also a bit of bad timing because the show had begun to gain so much momentum....
While at the same time my family is elevating to new heights creating a different kind of momentum. I am not a typical Mom, I am a full on Momager. I manage everything for my kids from schedules to specialized nutritional needs and if you have an athlete you know that their diet is a little more complex because they have to be in top shape to compete. Things are so different from when I was an athlete nowadays these kids are starting careers in high school instead of post college. It's so competitive. Just like podcasting.
One of the biggest lessons I am learning during the podcast hiatus is that the quiet times are the best times, that just like the time that my kids take off between sports, the time I am taking between this season and the upcoming season, is allowing me to do some of my best work because I am working a different set of muscles while off mic. Will there be a bit of momentum loss, probably however I'm thinking that perhaps you my tribe is using this time to do some of your own best work and maybe even listen to a past episode or two. ...
Talk soon,
