Grief doesn’t follow a calendar.
It doesn’t pack up neatly after a year, or even after six.
For many widows, the world quietly expects us to “be okay” by now, and they expect us to move on!!
But what they don’t see is that we aren’t stuck in the past we’re carrying a love that still lives in us, every day.
Sometimes we stop talking about it, not because the pain has faded, but because we don’t want to burden others with what feels like “the same story.” We swallow our tears, change the subject, smile when it hurts all to make the world more comfortable.
But here’s the truth: love leaves an imprint so deep that time can’t erase it. Grief is not a weakness, and it is not something to “get over.” It is the shadow of love, and shadows remain as long as the light still shines.
This foundation exists to give widows a space where our voices don’t need to be quiet, where our tears are understood, and where we can breathe without pretending. Whether your loss was six months or sixteen years ago, you still matter and your story still matters!
If you believe in holding that space with us, you can support our work here on Buy Me a Coffee. Your kindness helps keep this light shining for every widow who feels alone in their grief.
